Preschool Kindergarten Elementary - Over 35 Years of Montessori Experience!

My name is Brooke and I’m so grateful to be part of this wonderful school community. I have worked in education for the past seven years, spending time in classrooms with children of all ages. For the past four years, I have focused specifically on Montessori education, including serving as the Director of another Montessori school for a year before joining Bell Canyon.
What I love most about the Montessori philosophy is the way it helps each child recognize their own capabilities. Every child is unique, and I believe strongly in giving children the time, encouragement, and freedom to learn at their own pace and in the ways that work best for them. Watching children grow in confidence, independence, and a love for learning is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
As a Director, one of the things I enjoy most is getting to know each child and their family. Building genuine relationships with our families is truly at the heart of why I do what I do. I believe that when children, families, and teachers feel connected and supported, we create an environment where children can truly thrive.
I’m so excited to continue growing at Bell Canyon Montessori and becoming an even bigger part of this wonderful community. I look forward to getting to know more of our families and sharing in the many special moments that make our school such a meaningful place to be.

My name is Cindy Millett and I was born and raised here in Salt Lake City. I have been a Montessori teacher at Bell Canyon Montessori for 31 years.
In 1994, I graduated with my Montessori Method of Education degree from the Montessori world Educational Institute. I have worked in the Montessori profession for 38 years with 36 of those years as a head teacher of children from ages 2 through 6.
I have always had an unbelievable passion to teach, help, and care for each child. The children bring an excitement to my job every day. I was drawn towards the Montessori educational method because I can focus on each child’s individuality and they can grow and learn at their own pace and interests.

My name is Gislene Ribeiro, my students call me Ms. Gisa and I am from Brazil. I fell in love with the Montessori Education almost 44 years ago.
I had my training for more than a year in Salvador, Bahia Brazil. I was trained by ABEM – Brazilian Association of Montessori Education, from Casa Dei Bambini Italy. My passion for the Early Education is beyond words.
The beginning of my career was the beginning of my training, often being tested inside a classroom with 28 children from 3 to 5 years of age. I worked for 18 years at Escola Curumin and 10 years with Pre-school and Kindergarten including children with Autism and other disabilities. I became a Principal and worked for 8 years being responsible for 12 teachers and 260 students.
I speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and a little Italian.

Hi! I’m Agnes Scott — born and raised in the sunny U.S. Virgin Islands, but now thriving in the snowy mountains of Utah since 2020. In 2019 I graduation from the University of the Virgin Islands with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. After discovering Montessori, I fell in love with its hands-on, child-centered approach, and I’ve proudly been a Lower Elementary Montessori teacher for the past five years. What I love most about Montessori is how it encourages independence, nurtures curiosity, and fosters a genuine love of learning — values I carry with me every day.
Since moving to Utah, I’ve embraced a whole new world of adventure — from snowboarding and rock climbing to reading by a cozy fire and roller skating through scenic trails. I’m beyond excited to join the Bell Canyon community and am truly looking forward to getting to know the amazing students and their families. I can’t wait to learn and grow together in this new chapter!
